China Unicom To Release iPhone 3G In October 2009

Unicom and Apple have signed an agreement regarding the release of iPhone 3G in China. The country’s second largest mobile carrier will release the iPhone 3G in 8GB and 16GB models. For your info, the smartphone is already available in China, but only on the grey market, where it is sold for prices between 3,600 and 4,000 CNY ($526 – $585). China Unicom’s iPhone 3G will be released in October 2009. The 8GB will cost 2,500 CNY ($365) with a monthly plan of at least 186 CNY ($27) and a contract agreement for 2 years

Motorola A45 Murano AKA Motocubo A45

Motorola today announced the Motorola A45 Murano in Brazil, under the name of Motocubo A45. Designed for young mobile users, the Motocubo A45 is a messaging phone with a landscape QVGA display and a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The phone features Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, an MP3 player, a 3.5mm headset jack, an FM radio with RDS, and a 2MP camera. The phone will be available starting September for $293

Samsung Haptic AMOLED In Pink And White

Samsung has announced a spanking new 3G full touchscreen cellphone known as Haptic AMOLED. The handset uses 3.5-inch AMOLED display that provides high resolution 800 x 480 pixel resolution and a 180-degree viewing angle. Available in Korea via SK Telecom, KT and LG Telecom, the phone will retail for approximately $700. Other features include DivX, H.264, MPEG4 and AC-3 support, version 2.0 of the Haptic UI, T-DMB compatibility, a 5-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity and a navigation support.

Sunno S880 Smartphone With Dual-Boot Feature

Chinese-based company, Sunno is reportedly working on their new smartphone called the S880. This new handset will use of Android + Windows Mobile dual-system operation and feature a 3.6-inch WVGA display, a 806MHz CPU, an 8-megapixel camera, a 256/128MB RAM, GPS and WiFi connectivity. Sony Ericsson Launches W395 Hello Kitty In Hong Kong

Sony Ericsson has launched another limited edition handset in Hong Kong targeted towards young girls. Dubbed as the Sony Ericsson W395 Hello Kitty, the phone has a pink Hello Kitty theme, a pink body and a set of relevant multimedia contents. Other than that, the specs are exactly the same to the original version, it features a 2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 resolution, a 2-megapixel camera, a 10MB of internal memory, a memory card slot, an FM tuner and Bluetooth connectivity. The Sony Ericsson W395 Hello Kitty is now available in Hong kong for HK$1380 (about $178).

Desktop Virtualisation For iPhone With PocketCloud

Wyse has launched the PocketCloud that enables the iPhone and iPod Touch user to access their virtual desktops to PCs remotely. The PocketCloud is compatible with both a virtualized or physical machine which supports the Microsoft RDP protocol. This application also supports VMware View 3.1 connection broker in direct and tunneling modes. The PocketCloud for iPhone can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store and costs $29.99.

Nokia 3208c Touchscreen Phone For China

Nokia has released a new touchscreen phone for the Chinese market namely the Nokia 3208c. Available in graphite black and white pearl, the entry-level candybar phone adopts a handwriting recognition with a 2.4-inch TFT QVGA touchscreen display with 260k colors, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, an MP3 player, a 2MP shooter, and a 1,020 mAh battery. Each purchase also comes with a 1GB memory card in the box. No word on pricing yet

Samsung SKT SCH-W910 VVIP Clamshell Phone

South Korean company Samsung Electronics has recently unveiled their upcoming 3G phone namely the Samsung SKT SCH-W910 VVIP. This clamshell phone is equipped with a 2.6-inch AMOLED internal screen with 240 x 320 resolution, a 1.5-inch OLED external screen with 128 x 128 resolution, a 2MP camera, a microSD card slot, an FM radio, an 880 mAh battery, GPS navigation, Bluetooth and supports HSDPA/GSM connectivity. Pricing and release date are still unknown at the moment

Samsung’s First Full-touch Phone For Youth Market

Samsung Electronics today announced the availability of their first full-touch phone designed to support the digitally connected lifestyles of today’s young mobile users. Known as the Corby (model: S3650), the handset supports Quad-band GSM support, EDGE connectivity, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen with TouchWiz UI, Bluetooth, a 2MP camera, an FM Radio, e-dictionary, an MP3 player, a USB 2.0 and a microSD card slot. Available in Jamaican Yellow, Cupid Pink, Minimal White, and Festival Orange, the Samsung Corby will be available in European countries starting from mid September for around 150 Euros ($215)
